Parallel Works President and co-founder, Matthew Shaxted, recently joined our partners, Engys LTD, at the 2016 the OpenFOAM Workshop in Guimarães, Portugal. It was a gathering of both academic and industrial users of the popular open source CFD application, and we were thrilled to be joining alongside Engys to share a preview of what we’ve been working on together.
While OpenFOAM has been used heavily in the academic space, our goal is to support and enhance the design exploration capabilities of this already powerful application using the Parallel Works platform. Matthew shared several of these exciting new capabilities in his presentation, including the forthcoming HelyxOS Cloud solution and a sophisticated design optimization case study.
Conference attendees found both capabilities to be compelling, as they offered innovative ways to leverage HelyxOS and OpenFOAM. While we are still a few weeks away from the initial release of the HelyxOS Cloud solution, we were thrilled to hear the positive feedback.
In the coming months, we are looking forward to engaging further with the OpenFOAM community, including a trip to the Midwest OpenFOAM Users Group Meeting in October.
