Enterprise Sales & BusDev Lead
As an Enterprise Sales & Business Development Executive, you’ll be responsible for hunting and closing enterprise sales accounts for Parallel Works. You will help to define the strategy for sales and partnerships. In tandem with the co-founders, you’ll be charged with leading the execution of the full sales and business development cycle from lead generation through contract execution and expansion. You’ll help to strategize and research target customer segments to prioritize outreach, build a robust pipeline of new opportunities, and engage with customers to meet needs and close sales.
Above all, you’ll be a champion for the Parallel Works value proposition, and be relentless and inspirational in communicating it to customers. You will be on the front line, meeting with our customers and evangelizing the Parallel Works platform. You’ll grow the pipeline - nurturing long-lead opportunities while quickly closing smaller accounts. You will researching target markets for new opportunities and digging deep into lead generation. You’ll work with the co-founders to create unique value propositions for each target segment, and take a value-selling approach to closing deals. Based on your market research, you’ll provide input to design sales decks that resonate with our target segments.
You’ll build close relationships with both end users and purchasing decision makers so that they view you not only as their sales rep, but as a close advisor on their strategic technology decisions. You’ll gather insights on customer needs and requirements, and share this with the product management and engineering teams so that we can design new features and capabilities that will make the platform even stronger.
As an early hire, you’ll be in a position to grow quickly as a leader of the company. As the first sales hire, your plans will lay the foundation for the sales and business development team. Your work will have a real impact in driving the growth of the company.
What we’re looking for. Creative, innovative and hard working and experience entrepreneurial sales leader with a passion for technology and a drive to help build a product that can make a real impact. Dynamic business development aptitude, strong communication skills and a strategic mindset will serve you well, along with a great attitude to tackle any challenges that come your way. A minimum 5+ years of field sales experience with proven successful track record of exceeding sales quotas.
We are looking for a dynamic application developer with a passion for parallel computing techniques. The focus of this role will be to develop turnkey modeling, simulation and big data applications on our highly parallel, distributed cloud computing platform to solve real world problems for our customers. You’ll implement fully automated parallel workflows in fields ranging from materials science, civil engineering, bioengineering, building design, and city planning. You’ll ensure your solutions stand up to extreme-scale parallel resources and big data applications, and meet the needs of our customers.
But your work won’t stop there. You’ll be among the first engineers on our team, and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and vision of this advanced technical computing platform.
You’ll work closely with Parallel Works co-founders, colleagues, customers, and partners to build and deploy flexible, powerful simulation workflow tools that will transform engineering and product design practices. You will have the opportunity to lay the groundwork for the platform’s valuable tool center as you work with the team to build out innovative solutions and workflow frameworks to populate our marketplace. You’ll work with customers to understand their businesses and build both proprietary and open tools that address their issues. You’ll develop a solid understanding of select customer verticals and apply insights that lead to innovative solutions. You’ll build tools that change the way engineers work and empower them through large scale parallel computing. And you’ll work with a great team to bring this innovative technology to life.
What we’re looking for. Engineers from diverse fields with industry experience using parallel simulation tools and leading CAE frameworks.
- 3 - 5 years of academic and/or industry experience in a specific engineering discipline. Mechanical, industrial, civil, aerospace, materials or biomedical engineering are all of interest.
- Skills of interest: fluid dynamics, finite element, heat transfer, molecular dynamics, materials science, image analysis, biomedical, and financial engineering.
- Significant experience with simulation methods including optimization, mathematical programming, uncertainty quantification, and agent based modeling.
- Solid experience with a dynamic scripting language like Python, MATLAB or R.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and flexibility in applying knowledge to new domains
